I am a painter who expresses myself through various materials such as everyday women and flowers, and I am an artist who finds my identity as an artist through painting.
I've loved doodling since I was young. Especially, middle school textbooks were filled with doodling of people's faces.
As time passed, I became someone's mother, someone's wife, and an artist. In those roles, I had a lot of thoughts about who I was, what I would draw, and how. The answers I got after thinking about it were "me" and "identity."
I chose women, flowers, and everyday life as an expression of identity that I can show myself.
My artwork is divided into the "Colors Illusion" series, which depicts colorful flowers and beautiful women, and the "Time of Women" series, which shows images of everyday life.
A woman has her own color and her own scent. The same goes for flowers. The "Colors Illusion" series continues to tell colorful stories based on flowers and women, and through this work, I create the colors and scents that women have.
The "Time of Women" series shows who I am today. This is the artwork of asking for answers about how I'm living and recording it like a diary. It is the artwork of acknowledging myself as I am and building my identity in the future.
I believe that this whole process of artwork until today's me has become an experience for me to find my identity as an artist. This journey will continue.
